There are certain years that have captivated guitar players because of their cherished tone and the year 1959 is certainly one of them! Whether single coil or humbucker, the 1959 pickup has been sought after as one of the most recognized for its majestic vintage tone. We have made every researchable effort to replicate this magic pickup and make it one of the best on the market!

Constructed of period correct materials right down to the maple spacers, this pickup delivers! The tone is unapproachable and will easily captivate your ears with that amazing balance of highs, mids and bass response yielding unprecedented vintage tone. The pickup is made with enamel wire and alnico II magnets, to give a tone just like back in the day.

The alnico II magnets ensure long lasting sustain as today’s hotter magnets can rob that cherished characteristic. The enamel wire delivers that vintage bite your instrument will love you for.

These are the most authentic PAF style pickups I have ever played! I love the tone, so warm and articulate to the touch!!! Notes just bloom and sustain right off the neck.

Jose you have a fan and customer for life. Thank you so much my friend.

Put these in an early 80s SG Special.. Used a .47pF tone capacitor. Very happy with the sound.

Sings. Barks. Growls. Versatile. Great balance of low and high end. Great note clarity on chording. I’m very happy with both of my Planet Tone purchases – NOW my PRS McCarty is perfect. Great communication while they were being wound too. ( they don’t make them until you order them) I could not be happier. All my veteran musician buddies have been commenting about my sound. Buy American and at 1970’s prices…..get em now.

The 1959 Special Bridge is perfectly named. It really is a special pickup. If you are looking for a perfect match for a PAF style neck pickup for blues and rock this is it. A little warmer than the Gibson Classic 57 Plus and the Duncan Alnico 2 Pro but by no means “hot”. And since it’s using A2 magnets it’s smooth as glass across all frequencies. No unwanted harmonics so your effects are allowed to work as they were designed to. Hats off to Jose for building this one.

I got this one for the neck of my Telecaster. It came through for me big time! Fat and juicy. Thanks again Jose!

Ordered these pickups for install in a LP kit. Perfect fit and the quality is beyond reproach. You can certainly pay a lot more for humbuckers, but in my opinion, you would needlessly be chasing the last 2% of perfection. Already have plans to buy a set of 57’s for my next project. If you are on the fence about these, just do it; you won’t be sorry
