By purchasing from Planet Tone Pickup Co., you are agreeing as follows:

Planet Tone Orders, Changes and/or Cancellations

You may change your order up to close of business the following day of your order, 24 hours or close of the next business day. If you need to make changes, simply email us. If you would like to make an addition, simply place another order and we will refund any excess shipping charges.

Any time after the close of the following business day of your order, it will be considered confirmed and finalized. The customer agrees that no further changes will be made and all merchandise ordered may not be returned for a refund. In the very rare case of a cancellation, customers may be charged a 25% cancellation charge due to the custom nature of the work.

Manufacturing and Product Lead Times

Pickups are handmade to order. It’s important to remember we are not a production company and all pickups are handcrafted to ensure quality and the best tone possible. We make our pickups and ship orders first come, first serve basis. In addition, larger orders can expect longer wait times. Please note: Standard orders with common in normal colors tend to ship quicker, especially single coils and P90s. Humbuckers take a bit longer as they require more labor. Common and smaller orders tend to take up to 4 weeks. Less common varieties and larger order may take slightly longer, depending on the size of the order or custom nature of the work. Feel free to inquire about your order, especially if 4 weeks have passed since your order. Please note: We are experiencing extremely high volume, thank  you for your patience!

Want Your Pickups Faster?

In some cases, if you really need your pickups faster we can expedite for an additional charge of 20% of your order (before discount), minimum $35. Please email or contact us immediately with your time needs and if possible, we will expedite your order. You may also upgrade shipping times. Please notify us immediately.

The 30 Pickup Exchange

Got a new pickup and its now quite what you wanted? No problem! We want you to be 100% satisfied!

  1. Please email us within 30 days of purchase, please include a copy of the receipt with your return.
  2. Get an RMA number.
  3. Let us know exactly why you didn’t like the pickup and what you prefer.
  4. Ship the pickup with care. Include the RMA number with a copy of the receipt in the package. Please ship with tracking and insurance in case of loss or damage.
  5. If you desire a higher priced pickup, please include an email address for a PayPal invoice.
  6. Pickup must be returned in “like new” condition no exceptions. Near original length leads and absolutely no altering or damage tot he pickup whatsoever.
  7. After approving your return, your chosen replacement will be shipped. Please allow for additional manufacturing times.
  8. We reserve the right to provide a refurbished or previously exchanged pickup model.
  9. Remember exchanges are to be like for like…(strat pickup for strat pickup…black for black)
  10. Custom items or prewired pickguards may not be exchanged

Planet Tone Warranty

We warranty that all Planet Tone products for performance for 10 years. Simply return the item with your original receipt. Please email us for an RMA before returning to ensure your item is acceptable and covered.  Remember, we do not cover items that are damaged by aging, self-repair, misuse, accidents of any sort, wrong installation and failure to wire correctly or any additional work done to the pickup, not by Planet Tone. Absolutely no alterations, relicing or repair outside of the Planet Tone factory. The customer is responsible for all shipping charges.
